Hello there and welcome to this eleventh episode of the life stories of Leland Barney podcast. Leland is joined up by your host Christine Reidhead.

- He speaks about when he was taken to the hospital for having gastritis.
He starts by briefing us how Phyllis had written a few things down, which she wanted him to tell. He starts by telling us about his grandpa and how he had lost his toe. The toe was archived inside an empty jar and placed on the shelf. When they went to visit, Barney always thought that his grandpa was joking about it because they always knew him as a joker.
When he died, Barney was about 5 or 6 years, then in the funeral arrangements, Barney realized that it was his grandpas’ toe which was put in the Jar for all those years.
He narrates about a grease gun. They had a power grease gun which they would hook to an air compressor and it would shoot 60-80 feet. Leland talks about a time when they used it grease some kids up and the police saw them. He describes how they started running away from the police and got stuck.
Barney had a few memorable stories to give. He talks about a crazy instance, when he was carrying hay on a single axel trailer and he was going pretty fast down the road only to realize that the vehicle had no brakes.
In the episode, Barney also talks about how he was rushed to the hospital and the doctors could not locate his gallbladder only to realize that it was growing in his liver which was causing gastritis. This caused barney to have some severe chest pains.
